Myrza Rahmanita is Professor; Graduate Program Lecturer and Researcher at Trisakti School of Tourism in Jakarta (Indonesia) who is now the Head of Tourism Academic Departement, handling for Bachelor and Master Degree in Tourism since 2019; previously in 2015 she was the Head of Tourism Graduate Program; as from 2004 to 2007, the Head of Community Service and Research Centre Department. Her education were of Doctoral Degree in Economics, from the University of Indonesia (Indonesia); M.Sc. in Tourism and Environmental Management, from Bournemouth University (England); and was a fellow of “AusAID Australian Leadership Awards (ALA)” at Flinders University (Australia) in 2007.
Her expertise are economics; tourism; and destination planning and management, that is indigenous tourism, heritage ecotourism, adventure tourism, urban as well as rural tourism. She is tourism speaker and expert in international and national forums, for instance Technical Guidances organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Provincial and Regional Tourism Offices in Indonesia, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education; Seminars and Focus Group Discussions held by the ASEAN Tourism Research Association (ATRA), Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Resources, National Defense Council, Central Bank of Indonesia, and many Higher Education Institutions, Provincial and Local Government, etcetera. She is Visiting Professor at Burapha University Thailand, peer reviewer in scientific journals, and  published scientific articles. Acknowledgement for her expertise shown, in national scope, she was the member of  “Accelerating Team for Urban Rural Tourism Development” in 2018, and tourism expert in “Accelerating Team for Ecotourism Development” in 2017 at the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism; whereas for International scope, she is a Project Member of ”European Union Integrated Ecotourism Management in Indonesia (INTEM EU)” of 2019 to 2022; and Economic Expert for collaboration between Trisakti School of Tourism and “USAID Tropical Forest Conservation Action (TFCA) Sumatera” by the year of 2018-2021.
