Background
Globalization demands an autonomous, high quality, worldwide perspective of human resources in order to be competitive in most aspects of life. The role of universities in the development of country’s potential is without question an ongoing improvement it their practice is constantly sought. Furthermore the level of higher education offered to society need to be not only based on the variations and complexity of the development itself, but also on the people’s need for an education process that anticipates and adapts to changes in the local, regional and international environment.
Realizing the demand for high quality university graduates who will be able to compete in this area of heightened competition, Trisakti School of Tourism carries out breakthrough to increase the quality of its alumni through its cooperation with IMI Switzerland, Burapha University of Thailand, Guilin Tourism University, China, and James Cook University, Australia.
Trisakti Institute of Tourism (IPT) was established in 1969. With its long journey and experiences, IPT is fully committed in developing the high and international standard quality of human resources in Hospitality & Tourism Industry.
IPT is the winner of PATA Grand Award 2004 in Tourism Education and Adhikarya Pariwisata 2006, and a school where the emphasis is on creating a happy and creative atmosphere conducive to educational achievement and self-fullfillment.
